This post has nothing to do with famous media, this is just a personal little snippet.
I recently had the absolutely pleasure of visiting Berlin. This was nothing like I expected it to be. I was expecting the city to be dower and still in the midst of rebuilding after it’s desimation in WW2.
I was utterly surprised to find a green and lush city that has worked hard to rebuild its history and culture.
During my visit, I was lucky enough to visit the Reichstag. This is a tremendous part of their history and has been rebuilt in absolute splendour. The building itself is beautiful with the top dome reconstructed by Norman Foster (the guy who designed the Gherkin in London). This is a visually stunning piece of architecture which stands as a reminder to politicians when paralement is in session that the people have put them in power and are their purpose of being in the positions that they hold. If you are wondering what I am going on about, the dome has a central pillar of mirrors running through it which the politicians can look up to and see the people walking around it it while parliament is in session.
If you haven’t seen this, google it, as it is worth understanding the building and how German politicians have learnt from the past.
While visiting here, I had a glass of champagne while viewing the stunning view of Berlin. The photo above is the view through my champagne glass. A little artsy fartsy I know, but that’s me.
I just love the personality that you are. I read your today’s blog & now I’m going to make sure I don’t miss any of them. WordPress & my curiosity brought me to this one as your first post, I’m going to start reading rightaway! 💜
